Mutton Chops

  • 12 Mutton chops
  • 2 to 3 dry red chillies
  • 2” pc. cinnamon
  • 6 cloves, 3 cardamons
  • 8 pepper corns
  • Oil as required


  • 2 tbsp. ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp. garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • Salt to taste


  1. Clean and wash mutton chops and drain.
  2. Mix the chops well with the marinade and leave aside for 1 to 2 to hours or overnight (in the refrigerator).
  3. Heat 2 tbsp. oil, break the chillies into bits and add to the oil alongwith the cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms and pepper corns.
  4. When the pepper corns start popping, add the meat alongwith the marinade and cook on high heat till the colour of the meat changes.
  5. Then reduce heat and cook till the meat is done and water has evaporated. Continue frying for few minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Do not add any water.
  7. Serve hot alongwith Fig and rocket salad or any salad of your choice.
