Heat and grease a dosa tava. Pour two ladles of dosa batter and spread with the back of the cup or ladle on the tava.
Mix some mysore chutney with butter and spread over the dosa.
Fold the dosa in a triangular shape and serve hot with chuney and sambhar.
MYSORE CHUTNEY
Ingredients
- ½ cup Chana dal
- ¼ cup urad dal
- 6 red chillies
- Small ball tamarind
- 1 tsp. peppercorns
- 1 tbsp. jaggery
- 1 cup coconut
- Salt to taste
(You may halve the quantity of the above ingredients for the chutney, as it becomes a lot)
Heat oil on a tawa and roast the chana dal and urad dal till golden brown. Add the red chillies and fry for two minutes. Add tamarind, peppercorns, jiggery and grated coconut and fry for a while.
When cool, grind with salt to a smooth paste adding as little water as required.
