Drumstick Leaves Tel Piyav

  • 1 Bunch Drumstick Leaves
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 3 to 4 flakes garlic crushed
  • 3 red chillies
  • 2 tbsp. fresh or dessicated coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. coconut oil


  1. Separate the leaves from the stems of the drumsticks and remove  as much of the stems as possible although the small tender stems may be retained. 
  2. Soak in plenty of water for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly changing the water atleast twice so that any dust etc. can come off. 
  3. Heat the oil and add the garlic and red chillies, the onion and saute in the oil for a minute. 
  4. Add the drumstick leaves and cook for 10 minutes. 
  5. Add the coconut and cook 3 to 4 minutes. 
  6. Remove and Serve hot.
