French Toast
Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
- ½ cup sugar, or to taste
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence
- Ghee for frying
Method
- Lightly beat the egg into the milk, add sugar, cinnamon and vanilla essence and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Dip the bread slices into the milk, one at a time, till they are well soaked with the milk mixture.
- Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry the bread slices on medium heat till brown on both sides.
- Drain on kitchen paper and serve warm.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and cinnamon powder if desired.
