French Toast

  • Servings: 3

  • 6 slices bread
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup sugar, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • Ghee for frying


  1. Lightly beat the egg into the milk, add sugar, cinnamon and vanilla essence and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Dip the bread slices into the milk, one at a time, till they are well soaked with the milk mixture.
  3. Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry the bread slices on medium heat till brown on both sides.
  4. Drain on kitchen paper and serve warm.
  5. Sprinkle with icing sugar and cinnamon powder if desired.
