Gathiya
Ingredients
- ½ Kg. Gram flour
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 1 tsp. Ajwain seeds (Carom or Bishop’s weed)
- 1 tsp. Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp. Chilli powder or to taste (optional)
- Oil for frying
- Sieve flour and salt and chilli powder (if using) together.
- Add the cumin and ajwain and mix the flour with water, a little at a time, otherwise would get watery.
- Knead well form into balls.
- Heat the oil and using a sev mold press directly into the oil.
- Fry on medium flame till done.
