Mongolian Beef
Ingredients
- 2 tbs. soy sauce
- ¼ tsp. white pepper
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. sugar Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. Oil
- 500 gms. Beef tenderloin, sliced thinly
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1” ginger, shredded
- 2 spring onion greens, cut into 2 inch pieces
Marinade:
- 1 tbsp. corn flour
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. rice wine
Sauce:
- 2 tbsp. Hoisin sauce
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp. water
- Marinate the beef slices with the marinade for 30 minutes.
- Heat a wok or a pan with oil and shallow fry (or stir fry) the beef until browned. Drain and set aside.
- Heat up the remaining oil and stir fry the garlic and ginger for a minute, do not brown.
- Add the beef and then the sauce.
- Continue to cook and stir until the beef slices are almost done.
- Then add the spring onions.
- Toss well and serve hot.
