Ingredients
- 2 cups boiled rice (matta rice works well)
- ¾ cup fresh coconut, grated
- Salt to taste
Method
- Wash and soak rice for 3 to 4 hours.
- Grind to a paste with the coconut and salt adding as little water as possible.
- In case the rice paste has excess moisture, microwave for a minute at a time, until the paste is dry and easy to handle.
- Form into 2” diameter balls, make a depression with your thumb.
- Steam for 20 to 25 minutes till done.
