Contains no leavening agents and no need to heat the oven…place cake in a cold oven and then light-up…. Turned out delicious!


  • 6 Eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks) (room temperature)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream (heavy cream)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  1. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time and beat well after each addition.
  4. Sift the flour and add it to the creamed mixture alternating with the cream until flour and cream is fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the vanilla.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and place in a cold oven.  Turn on the oven and set to 180 deg C and bake for 90 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely
  8. Remove from pan and serve with a custard sauce if desired.
