Shakkarpara Tukdiyo

Sweet Shankarpali, shakarpare


  • 2 cups flour
  • ¼ cup ghee
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • Oil for frying


  1. Add ghee, milk and sugar to a saucepan. 
  2. Cook on low, stirring till sugar is dissolved. 
  3. Leave aside to cool. 
  4. Sieve the flour in a wide plate or bowl, add salt, vanilla and gradually add the cooled mixture and form a soft dough. 
  5. Allow the dough to rest for 15 to 20 minutes. 
  6. Divide the dough and knead to soften. 
  7. Roll into discs and cut into squares or diamonds. 
  8. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown and crisp.
