
Shakkarpara Tukdiyo
Sweet Shankarpali, shakarpare
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ cup ghee
- 1/3 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- Oil for frying
Method
- Add ghee, milk and sugar to a saucepan.
- Cook on low, stirring till sugar is dissolved.
- Leave aside to cool.
- Sieve the flour in a wide plate or bowl, add salt, vanilla and gradually add the cooled mixture and form a soft dough.
- Allow the dough to rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough and knead to soften.
- Roll into discs and cut into squares or diamonds.
- Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown and crisp.
