
Paneer Tawa Masala
Ingredients
- 500 gms. Paneer, cubed (To make home-made paneer)
- 2 tbsp. Ghee
- 2 tsp. Ajwain
- 1 Large Onion, chopped
- 1” Ginger, chopped
- 4 Green chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp. Red chilli Powder
- 1 tsp. Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp. Garam masala Powder
- ½ cup coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp. Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 cup Tomato Pasatta or tomato puree
- 5 Cloves
- 6-8 Green cardamoms
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- ½ cup Cream
- Salt
- 2 tbsp. Fenugreek (Kasoori Methi)
- Heat ghee in a large vessel or a tawa, add ajwain, cloves, green cardamom and sauté over medium heat until it begins to crackle.
- Add onions, ginger and green chillies, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry till moisture evaporates.
- Then add red chilli powder and coriander powder.
- Stir for a minute, add the tomato passatta/puree and fry few minutes and then add a cup of water and cook till oil surfaces.
- Then add the fenugreek (kasoori methi) and paneer and cook till gravy thickens and coats the paneer.
- Add the butter and cream, mix well, adjust seasoning.
- Sprinkle garam masala and coriander and stir.
- Serve hot with any Indian bread.
